Problem Note 50904: A hot fix must be applied to SAS® Business Rules Manager 1.2_M1 in order to use the full functionality of the software

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS Business Rules Manager 1.2_M1 requires that you apply a hot fix in order to use the full functionality of the software. The problems listed below are addressed by this hot fix.

  1. In order to publish a rule flow to a folder, your user ID must have WriteMemberMetadata permission for the folder. If your user ID does not have this permission, then your next attempt to publish the rule will fail. There is no workaround other than allowing WriteMetadata permission to the folder for all potential publishers.
  2. Using the IN operator on the left-hand side of a logical expression sometimes causes the expression to be truncated. For example, if A=A and upcase(A) in ('x','y','z'); is translated by SAS Business Rules Manager as if A=A and upcase(A).
  3. Leaving no spaces between < or > and the term on either side in a logical expression causes a NullPointerException when you attempt to test or publish the containing rule flow. To work around this problem, insert spaces on either side of < or > as in the example below. The expression below contains no spaces:
    ... AND SERVICE_DURATION<2.9599
It must be converted to the following expression:
    ... AND SERVICE_DURATION < 2.9599
  4. If a rule flow is published and then renamed, any further publishing causes overlapping and inaccessible version numbers. There is no workaround for this problem other than to avoid renaming rule flows.
